Margaret O’Sullivan BSc MSc
Business Psychologist

Margaret O’Sullivan completed her Masters degree in Business Psychology at UMIST and then joined Manchester Business School where she taught on the Managerial Psychology, Business Communication and Entrepreneurial Behaviour Programme.

Whilst at Manchester Business School she was an advisor on Career Management and Development Programmes for senior members of the Navy and Air Force and delivered training Programmes for AstraZeneca and the European Commission.

At Manchester Business School, Margaret developed and introduced a model and methodology to help small and medium sized companies attract, screen and select high quality, productive staff for their businesses. She subsequently worked with a variety of entrepreneurial companies in Telecommunications, Engineering, Debt Management, Accountancy, Finance, Healthcare and the Charity sector.

Margaret founded McCarthyO'Sullivan and has worked with MDs and HR Directors on the selection and retention of high calibre employees who have transformed the culture and image of these companies and organisations.

Dr Robert T Taylor, CBE, MA, DPhil (Oxon)

Dr Robert Taylor was a research scientist at Oxford University before joining the British Council. He revitalised their recruitment process and was appointed Controller of Personnel.  He developed and introduced into the Council structured interviews, assessment centres and psychometric testing. Much of his work was in collaboration with Bradford Management Centre.

Robert joined Manchester Business School in 1993 as Visiting Senior Fellow and Chair of the Management Interviewing and Research Institute. He worked on episodic interviewing techniques and psychometric testing, the potential for neural networks to improve personnel processes and creating an admission test for MBA candidates for the Business School.

Robert is a consultant at McCarthyO'Sullivan.

Richard Evans. Director. Impact Advertising and Design

Richard is a Director of Impact Advertising and Design, an experienced advertising and design company, formed in 1965, which specialise in the design of recruitment adverts.

Their income is derived from the media, not the client.

Richard works closely with McCarthyO'Sullivan on advert presentation, media negotiations and placement using both traditional print media and the internet.
